After a really tough 2008 year (mostly down to financial constraints), we're enjoying a Winter break and thinking through our 2009 plans. Right now we've come to the grand old conclusion that Dad's wallet isn't big enough for our ambitions (broken record, much?), so we've got our sights firmly set on a decent club championship.
2009 will see the long awaited move to Senior Rotax from Junior Max, which is another obstacle in itself as to make up to the minimum weight (kart and driver) I will have to carry as much as 27kg of lead. Making the kart, effectively, a tank.
Whatever happens, we're looking to enjoy the karting again, and ideally I'd like to use this site as the medium from which I will convey that enjoyment to anyone who'd like to share it. So if you're reading this I'm guessing, rather, hoping you're one of these people, so thanks for visiting and taking an interest.
On the subject of gratitude, I'd like to extend mine to the family. Particularly my Dad, who's allowed me to enjoy a fair few years of what I love most at the expense of only himself, so, Thanks! Also to Michael for designing and redesigning this brilliant site, and please visit him (www.michaelmckay.co.uk) and find him the work his skills quite clearly deserve!
Jonny has worked on commisions featuring his love of karting and cars and also works on designing kick-ass helmets too, in the future he hopes to actually bring these designs to reality by purchasing the helmet spraying kit, keep your eye's open!
His latest portfolio of work (as well as the very best photos of him on the track) for eager eyes can be found at DeviantArt. If you really like his existing work then why not consider employing Jonny to do a commission of yourself, or buying some prints of his existing work?
Jonny always welcomes new work with open arms - if you are interested in learning more then don't hesitate to contact him. Work is of the highest quality and prices are very reasonable.
